- Astaxanthin - It’s a deep-red microalgae that’s a fat-soluble antioxidant. That means it can be delivered to the fat molecules of your body, and that includes your skin, of course, which is primarily made of fat and water. It even protects the skin from sunburn. In addition, astaxanthin protects the brain from Alzheimer’s disease, the eyes from UV light damage and the entirenervous system from oxidative damage.
- Omega 3 Oils - You can get these from eating fish, as well as taking them in supplement form! I supplement with a fish oil supplement =)
- Raw veggies - The more colorful the better! Try juicing, it can be delicious and great for your skin!
- Zinc - Shellfish and pumpkin seeds are good natural sources of zinc. It can also be taken as a nutritional supplement.

Also, just something I personally have found helpful! Make sure to take ALL of your makeup off at night to avoid clogging pores! I also like to exfoliate a few times a week and I moisturize twice a day with a gentle face lotion.. my skin is always soft, smooth, hydrated and I rarely break out! I found a vast improvement in my skin after implementing these habits, eating well and drinking water! =)
